Russian Federation approves its positions in terms of recognized developments in metrology by the international community.

For the last 12 years Russian Federation received 5 official international recommendations (IR) by International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML). For comparison, the official IR from OIML received only one German development and one Australian development for the same period.

One of the last Russian development that was included in IR OIML register in 2017 was  calibration and verification procedure «Standart unit emitters in the form of blackbody in the range from -50 °C to 2500 °C».

Implementation of recomendations will increase reliability and accuracy of determination of inaccuracy of measurements with emitters that are used in radiation thermometry for a huge range of tools of temperature measurements – thermometrs, thermal imaging, pyrometers. This equipment is used in manufacturing on different technological stages in steel industry, oil refining industry, in housing and communal services, etc.

Russian metrologists are on the highest positions of international level and bring a huge contribution to development of uniformity system of measurements. New capabilities allow to work in fundamentally different technologies in science and industry, develop Russian manufacturing and instrumentation, operate in strategic industries. Russian also should safe its metrological sovereignty and leading positions in international science society.

The last 9 years Russian Federation among the five leading countries in measurements. Also our state safes the second place in international rating of calibration and measurement capabilities, number of competencies in the database of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures.
